# Staking and Locking

CYBER holders can decide to **lock** (permanent) their tokens in exchange for permanent and high yield -> earned from protocol performance fees.

***Once locked, the user cannot withdraw their CYBER***  \
***It is NOT possible to pay a penalty to withdraw locked CYBER early.***

There are 2 earning possibilities: **1 in BUSD and 1 in CYBER token**\
Only users who decide to LOCK their CYBER will be able to earn BUSD and CYBER tokens\
